Vision

The vision of Discovery Church is to be a place where each person is loved, transformed and equipped. We believe the bible is for us today. At Discovery we use a modern day translation and speak in simple, modern terms that are easy to understand. We also use media, music and non-traditional methods to communicate biblical truths which bring irresistible life change when applied.  Regardless of church background, or a lack of one, people who attend Discovery Church hear a message of hope through Jesus Christ.  Below are answers to some frequently asked questions.

What is a service like?

Discovery Church services have two main elements: powerful worship through singing together and a life-changing message. Worship is led by a talented band, in a style consistent with today’s culture. The atmosphere is casual, and each service lasts about an hour.

What is available for my children?

Discovery Church has uniquely designed programs for children, birth through sixth grade. Children experience engaging, age-appropriate teaching, music, and activities that point a child toward a relationship with Christ. We use a state-of-the-art check-in system that ensures a safe environment for children and allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents/guardians. All children’s workers pass a back ground check and are committed to the safety of the children.

What is available for my older students?

Discovery Church offers Steadfast Youth Ministry for students to connect with God and other students. Steadfast meets on Sundays at 4pm at Rick and Janet Mireles’s home (194 Tapwood Lane in Cibolo). Each week we meet to engage teens in games and a relevant message for students in 7th through 12th grades. Students are encouraged to sit with their family during the Sunday morning service and to serve in one of our ministries.
